  • Trucking Lane Rates in Philadelphia - Truckers Edge

    d expect Jacksonville FL rates rose 18 to an average of 2 45 with big increases on the lanes to Miami up 13 and New Orleans up 40 Flatbed load to truck ratios are soaring in Alabama and Arkansas After a down month four major lanes out of Raleigh had double digit increases On the other hand outbound rates fell in Tampa down 16 Roanoke 9 Birmingham 6 and Atlanta 4 West Coast flatbed volume surged in the Sun Belt although you can t see it on the Hot States map just yet Rates were up too Outbound freight from Reno jumped 19 to 2 26 a mile Phoenix gained 18 to 1 75 due in part to higher volume including a 33 rate bump from Phoenix to Dallas Northeast rates began to thaw in some key markets Outbound rates edged up in Baltimore Rates out of Harrisburg saw a 31 gain to an average of 2 96 per mile Flatbed rates rose 8 per mile outbound from Pittsburgh to 1 89 Midwest lanes were hurt by recent shutdowns of steel plants The average rate out of Rock Island IL lost 26 to 2 13 a mile Cleveland outbound rates dropped 2 to 1 99 despite a 21 gain on the lane from from Cleveland to Harrisburg now 2 75 The Takeaway Rates were up on 44 of the top 72 flatbed lanes last week with the hotter markets being in warm weather regions where construction activity is starting early As always keep an eye on diesel prices which jumped 8 to 2 10 as a national average This led to 1 increase in the fuel surcharge for flatbeds Want to see the average rates on the lanes you run Sign up for TruckersEdge Enhanced to see the average prices
