  • Visiting College Student Registration For BU Summer Term

    Attendance Withdrawal Deadlines Transcripts Disability Services Rights Privacy Contact Us Request a Catalog Register Now Request a Course Catalog Ask a Question Send Like us on Facebook Auditing The designation of Audit is a registration status used when students officially register for a class without earning a letter grade or credit Audit courses are subject to full tuition and fees Students may register for a class on an audit basis only when space is available and only with the permission of the instructor Students who receive permission to audit a course are expected to attend classes regularly and complete assigned readings Other requirements regarding participation are to be agreed upon by the student and instructor The last day to add courses with audit status or convert classes from credit to audit is the same date as the last day to add courses for credit No audited courses can be counted toward a degree Audited courses will be designated as AU on the transcript however failure to meet the requirements agreed upon by student and faculty can result in a student s being officially withdrawn from the course at the instructor s request in which case the student will receive a

    number on the front of the check Payment may also be made in person at the Student Accounting Services office which is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm If you have any questions about the payment process contact Student Accounting Services at 617 353 2264 or by email at studenta bu edu Paying by Credit Card If you attend Boston University on a part time basis during the academic year or if you are a visiting student enrolled on a part time basis you may make your payment by credit card American Express VISA MasterCard or Discover If you are paying by credit card on the Student Link select Money Matters then Student Account Inquiry click on Make a Payment and follow the instructions You will need to have an active BU login name and Kerberos password to gain access to the Student Link If you do not have access to the Student Link please submit your credit card payment at bu edu payment Wire Transfers Boston University offers two options for international payments of a student account balance peerTransfer Flywire and Western Union Business Solutions These vendors both provide a tailored interface for international payments to BU Use of either of these services will generally result in a lower exchange rate and or total transaction cost for the student than payment by bank wire In addition since the information collected from the student through these vendor interfaces including the student s BU account number is transmitted electronically to BU along with payment use of either of these vendors will allow for faster crediting of payments to the correct student account Links to each of these vendors web pages are below for more information about the services they provide peerTransfer Flywire Western Union Business Solutions Deferred Payment Plan A Deferred Payment Plan is available to students who attend Boston University on a part time basis during the academic year and to visiting students enrolled on a part time basis Visit the Student Accounting Services website for further information The Deferred Payment Plan allows you to defer 75 of your session tuition charge until the Payment Plan deadline for each session see below For enrollment in either plan an initial payment and a completed online promissory note are due by the semester payment deadline listed below This initial payment includes any prior balance 25 of the current semester tuition a 50 Deferred Payment Fee as well as any additional semester fees Payment of the deferred tuition amount is due by the following dates for each session Summer Session 1 Thursday July 21 2016 Summer Session 2 and 12 week session Wednesday August 31 2016 Enrollment is available online at the Student Link Click on Money Matters then Student Account Inquiry and select the Deferred Payment option Enrollment in the deferred payment plan must be completed by the semester payment deadline in order to avoid a late payment fee Agency or Third Party Scholarship If a sponsor government
