    conveniently located within walking distance to all classrooms on the Charles River Campus and to public transportation Apartments vary in size are furnished and include bathrooms and kitchens Students must provide their own linens and pillow cooking utensils dishes silverware and cleaning supplies All apartments are multiple occupancy students will have at least one roommate All residences include wireless internet access Students have their mail delivered to their apartment mailboxes by the U S Postal Service Students also have access to laundry facilities Residence Rates Multiple occupancy room in an apartment without A C 3 710 98 13 weeks Multiple occupancy room in an apartment with A C 4 175 08 13 weeks Whether you live on or off campus you have the option to purchase a dining plan or Convenience Points plan If you select this option you must complete an Optional Dining Plan Agreement for one of the three dining plans offered or a Convenience Points Plan Agreement for a points only plan Optional Dining Plan and Convenience Points Plan Agreements will be available at the beginning of the summer at the Terrier Card Office 775 Commonwealth Avenue basement of the George Sherman Union If choosing to purchase a dining plan we recommend starting off with one of the 6 week plans which will cover Summer 1 Academic Phase You can always add more weeks later in the summer Your internship placement may impact your dining decisions so we suggest waiting until your internship is confirmed before choosing your Summer 2 dining plan Commuting Students Students in the Summer Study Internship Program have the option of commuting to campus If you choose to rent Boston has many available sublets during the summer For more information on summer sublets please contact the Boston University Off Campus Services at 617

    to April 29 2016 Program Deposit 250 non refundable Once accepted we will reserve a student s place in the program upon receipt of the program deposit This deposit is due within three weeks of acceptance into the program The deposit is applied against the cost of the program fee and is non refundable Program Fee 7 800 The Program Fee includes tuition for 10 semester hour credits internship placement and activities It does not include housing meals transportation to and from the work site textbooks course materials medical insurance or personal expenses Payment and Refund Policy Full payment is due by May 23 2016 The last day to withdraw from the Summer Study Internship Program is Friday May 27 2016 Students who officially withdraw from the program by the May 27 deadline will receive a cancellation of the Program Fee the 250 deposit is non refundable Students who remain enrolled in the program past the May 27 deadline are responsible for the full 7 800 Program Fee Students will receive instructions on how to pay the non refundable deposit and their balance once they have been admitted to the program Financial Aid No financial aid is available for this

    your questions from housing arrangements to campus life and what to pack for your summer in Boston After you move in on Sunday May 22 we invite you to a Welcome Dinner where you will receive a welcome packet with helpful information about the program and adjusting to BU and Boston You will also have a chance to meet and get to know other students in the program Classes begin on Monday May 23 On the morning of Friday May 27 you will attend your first Internship Course meeting After your class an orientation will take place on campus You will have an opportunity to get to know fellow participants and program administrators and you will attend a workshop run by representatives from AIC the internship placement agency that works with Boston University The program also includes excursions to places of historic and cultural interest in and around the Boston area Past activities include a Boston Duck Tour a Red Sox baseball game a visit to the New England Aquarium and a day trip to Salem And of course you ll have plenty of opportunity to travel on your own or with new friends from the program Another highlight of
